Three 5G SA Development
Three UK has been deploying 5G since 2019 and carries substantial 5G NSA coverage. The transition to 5G SA is underway, with Three committing to SA as part of its long-term network strategy. Three UK has historically held significant spectrum assets including mid-band holdings that are well-suited to 5G SA deployment.
Three and RedCap / eRedCap
Three’s 5G SA deployment is at an earlier commercial stage than EE or Vodafone for RedCap-specific services. Three’s SA rollout timeline is an important planning consideration for IoT deployments targeting Three’s network specifically. As the UK SA ecosystem matures through 2026-2027, Three’s coverage will expand.
